It’s been very rainy and cold around here lately, and I’m doing all that I can to stay healthy. I am a huge believer in essential oils and use them on the family daily. Lately I’ve looked into a few other at home remedies Matt and I can use to boost our system, because the only thing worse than a sick child is a sick mommy or daddy. Moms don’t ever get a day off, so we gotta stay healthy! Here is some info on the benefits of Turmeric, it’s great for boosting the immune system, along with tons of other benefits, including healthy skin, balancing the digestive system, anti stress and anti cancer.
I really like this Turmeric and Honey Immunity Boost and wanted to share because it’s so easy and tastes great. Wanna try it?
Here’s what you need-
1/2 cup raw local honey
zest of 1 organic lemon
2 tablespoons ground turmeric (I used Bulk Turmeric Root Powder Organic )
4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar ( I use Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar Organic Raw )
5 drops Lemon Essential oil (I use doTERRA Lemon if you don’t have a Lemon oil you and ingest you can leave it out, the lemon zest has essential oils too!)
Add all ingredients into a glass bowl and whisk together until smooth.
Store in an air tight container and keep in the fridge for up to 7 days.
Take 1 tablespoon at a time. I add a tablespoon to hot water and drink it, you can add it to your tea, put it on toast or just take a straight tablespoon. Whatever you prefer. Give this one a try, stay well, stay healthy.
